Secret Ingredient: The Rebranding of Tacuno

The most inspiring stories in branding begin before a logo is even created, with a solid and genuine idea. Such was the case with Tres de Barbacha, a taqueria that had already won the hearts of its public with its unmistakable flavor and its origins as a neighborhood taqueria. Its name referenced a partnership of three; but the life of the business, was in a moment of change.
The challenge captured us from the very first brief session: how to take a beloved brand with such an authentic DNA and transform it into a solid foundation for the future? The goal wasn't just a new image, but one that could sustain an ambitious expansion plan — to be, as they told us, "the qin of taquerias"— without losing its essence.
What made this project something unique from the start was the brief we received: robust and ambitious. Their vision didn't just think about the customer experience, but about the people who make the business possible, their team. The crew was considered one of the pillars.
The love with which they prepare in the kitchen every day is as palpable as the steam rising from their barbacoa and their great consommé for dipping.
The result of our rebranding work was the new name, Tacuno. A fusion of "Taco" and "Vacuno" (bovine) that is much more than a simple combination of words. It is the embodiment of its secret ingredient, "El Amor Vacuno": love for what one does, respect for the ingredients, and commitment to the people.
Today, you can enjoy Tacuno, the renovated brand that's ready to grow without losing its essence. It’s a reminder that the most successful projects are those born with an authentic story and passion. And yes, a good taco is the solution to many problems, but leave the branding ones to us. Do we meet there for business while tacos?
